ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Document Translation support for all areas. Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained. If necessary, using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
  2. Proofreading and editing final translated versions.
  3. Composes and types letters and correspondence: Spanish and English.
  4. Provides translation during meetings, conference calls, plant tours etc., preparing reports which includes gathering and summarizing data.
  5. Interpret in manufacturing related meetings, production management and production system related meetings.
  6. Communicate all HR related questions/concerns to the Translation Supervisor in order to resolve.
  7. Basic TM training support on the floor or classroom as needed.
  8. Support HR with Interviews, Benefits, Recruitment, Retention and employee concerns, etc.
  9. Establishes and maintains highly confidential files and records.
  10. Prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
  11. Being sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during the translation process
  12. Perform interpreting duties in a professional manner.
  13. Adhere to professional standards as outlined by our rules and regulations
  14. Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.

Proficient in translation and communication of Spanish and English language

Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to work as part of a collaborative team in a professional business office

Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects under strict deadlines

Highly motivated self-starter with some business experience required

Highly organized and efficient.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree preferred; or equivalent experience

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

In both English and Spanish language - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of team members.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Computer proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is necessary. The ability to express numbers as a decimal, convert numbers into percentages and from percentages to whole numbers, ability to express numbers as a fraction and perform basic math operations using positive and negative numbers and as ratios or averages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
