We are looking for an Outsourced Accounting Manager to join our Private Client Services (PCS) practice. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple client engagements, review general ledger, manage month and quarter-end close, supervise staff, and conduct research. Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster professional growth are essential. This position follows a hybrid work model with offices in La Jolla, California. Responsibilities Collaborate on month and quarter-end closes, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate financial statements per GAAP and tax basis. Handle A/P, A/R, payroll, and other general ledger duties. Establish and implement client accounting policies. Identify and implement process improvements and controls. Train, supervise, and develop team members. Build and maintain client relationships and support onsite client engagements. Develop expertise aligned with firm niches and initiatives. Manage time and billing accurately. Understand client businesses, meet deadlines, and contribute to client growth through networking and seminars. Stay updated on tax laws and accounting standards, applying knowledge proactively. Coordinate efforts with tax and audit teams. Mentor junior staff and participate in professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. 5+ years of public accounting or related experience. CPA/JD or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification. Experience with month-end closing and financial review. Preferred Skills Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com/Expensify.
