IT Manager | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $99,000 - $146,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of IT and OT systems supporting manufacturing operations.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and specialized plant floor technology (e.g., SCADA, MES).
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect proprietary data, intellectual property, and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Lead the planning, implementation, and support of manufacturing software solutions (e.g., ERP, MES, QMS) and hardware upgrades.
• Oversee IT vendor relationships and contract negotiations for manufacturing-specific software, hardware, and services.
• Develop and execute IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruption to production.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 4.0 and smart factory technologies, to enhance operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing IT operations and infrastructure within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in implementing and managing manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) and other critical business applications.
• Strong understanding of operational technology (OT) systems and their integration with IT, alongside robust cybersecurity knowledge for industrial environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT projects, manage budgets, and effectively oversee vendor relationships.
• Ability to align IT strategy with business goals, drive digital transformation initiatives, and lead a high-performing IT team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) systems and IT/OT convergence.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts (e.g., IoT, AI/ML, digital twins in manufacturing).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and practices.
