Job Title: Junior Network Engineers - Network Refresh
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Type: Contract


Project Duration: Minimum 12 months duration to start with extensions as needed
Clearance/Access: May require hospital background check, drug screen, and immunization compliance

Project Overview:
We're looking for 2 Junior Network Engineers to support the network refresh project across a large, multi-site environment in and around Indianapolis, IN. This entry-level role will involve assisting with equipment installations, basic configurations, and hands-on technical support across multiple sites. It's an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in enterprise networking while working alongside a team of experienced engineers.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with physical installation of network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
2. Support cable management, labeling, and equipment rack setup according to project standards.
3. Perform basic device configuration and staging under the supervision of senior engineers.
4. Conduct inventory checks, unpack equipment, and help prepare devices for deployment.
5. Help document network layouts, port assignments, and installation progress.
6. Provide first-level troubleshooting support during installation and testing phases.
7. Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner during on-site activities.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent training).
2. 0-2 years of hands-on IT or networking experience (internships or lab work a plus).
3. Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, subnets, switches, routers).
4. Familiarity with common hardware tools and a willingness to learn on the job .
5. Good communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions accurately .
6. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team-based environment .

Preferred Skills:

1. Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA (or working toward one) .
2. Exposure to enterprise networking equipment through labs, coursework, or internships .
3. Willingness to travel to project sites.
4. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
